I just ran a report on the full(ish) manuscript of Princess Renegade for the lulz. And compared it to whatever it is that Orpheus Technology has compiled as “Brandon Sanderson.”
Got a good laugh when it spit this graph out. 🤣
I posted it for reference later, to see if anything changes when writing while reading a different author (TBH, I’m only halfway through Mistborn and Elantris, and I’ve literally read nothing else by Sanderson—but I do watch his YouTube regularly).
Apparently, I also start too many sentences with “ing” and use “whether or not” far too much. Otherwise, my grammar is AI-passable. Yay? Skynet won’t execute me for being grammatically incorrect, at least. *shrugs*
Maybe I’ll finish this up and get back to The Name of the Wind, then run another one on this year’s NaNo project and see if I wound up writing it like Rothfuss. What will that project it be? Who knows. It’s January, and I’m too busy finding and/or waiting for my tax shit to care right now. 😛
In Other News…
I finally migrated my PC to its new case. The power connectors needed for my new graphics card didn’t let me shut the side of the old one, and I didn’t want to buy mod cables given all the fun melting issues that’ve been surfacing (not that my card is a 4090 or even uses a 12VHPWR connection, but still). I think I’ll clean Old Reliable out and use it as a server chassis if we end up needing network storage.
I mean, how many mid-tower cases are you going to find these days with room for 6+ full-size HDDs and a stupid-long PSU? It’s not my case’s fault every graphics card manufacturer decided this generation’s GPUs needed to be the size and weight of a 70’s Lincoln Town Car. 😛
Anyway, I’m currently posting this from a freshly re-assembled system with #00FF00-green LEDs on the fans, GPU and board, all of which match the green legs of my desk and the RGB coming out of my keyboard and mouse. If I turn the lights off in the office, my side of the room glows like a puddle of ooze from TMNT.
It is freakin’ awesome. 😆
I have also reached my peak tolerance threshold for RGB. No more glowing things for me. 😛
